Irfaan Khan in Spider Man

Irrfan Khan, the famous Bollywood actor, will play the main villain in the next part of Spider Man 3D. The Spider Man series is one of the top grossing series of Hollywood, and is also one of the most watched comic book based movies. There have been three parts of The Spider Man already, while the fourth edition will be in 3D!



Irrfan Khan is a National School of Drama graduate, who made a mark nationally with a role in a Hindi serial Chandrakanta. He has essayed the roles of typical villains in Hindi films to complex characters in arty movies. Performances in movies like The Namesake and New York I - Love You anthology unraveled his talent to the international audiences. It seems that it is only justified that the actor should play a comic book villain to kick start his main stream Hollywood career!
Hollywood production houses too have begun realizing the influence and contribution of India to their overall revenue generation plans. The success of movies like Avatar, Harry Potter series films, Narnia series movies and also The Spider Man series films has ensured that Hollywood does something to woo India. One such plans was the release of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader , a week prior to its US release! Also many big Hollywood directors have started to take up concepts closer to India. Oscar winner’s Ang Lee’s Land of Pi is one such project, and one cannot forget The Slumdog Millionaire too! Looks like Bollywood and Hollywood are getting closer than ever.
Earlier too, actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Gulshan Grover, Victor Banerjee, and Tabu have acted in Hollywood productions. However, as of now, nothing can get bigger than acting in Spider Man series.
